JCJC’s Greene County Center is offering summer classes

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -
This is a news release from Jones County Junior College

Jones County Junior College is now registering students for its three college level classes this summer, non-credit and GED summer classes offered at its Greene County Center in Leakesville. All three college courses are hybrid classes, meeting only five times with the majority of work done online. Western Civilization will meet on Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning June 2. English Comp I will meet on Wednesday nights, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning June 3. Physical Science will meet on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. beginning June 4.

Non-credit pipefitting will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays beginning July 13, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. The course ends in December and costs $488. Non-credit welding will be offered on Monday and Tuesdays, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning July 13, through December for $350.

Summer College Credit Classes:

Western Civ.-(Hybrid) Class meets on Tuesdays, June 2,16,30, and July 14, 28, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

English Comp 1-(Hybrid) Class meets on Wednesdays, June 3, and 24, and July 1, 15, and 29, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Physical Science-(Hybrid) Class meets on Thursdays, June 4, 18, and July 9,23, and 30, from from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Summer Non-Credit Classes

Pipefitting Day & Night class Class meets on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays beginning July 13, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Cost $488.

Welding Day & Night class Class meets on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning July 13. Cost $350.

    Hattiesburg police are searching for a man wanted in a forgery-uttering case. HPD spokesman Ryan Moore said the man wrote a fraudulent check for a drink machine at a business in the 600 block of Campbell Loop Drive in Hattiesburg.
