PETAL, MS (WDAM) - An annual University of Southern Mississippi festival of Native-American culture is underway in the Friendly City.
The 13th Petal-Southern Miss Pow Wow is featuring dancing, arts and crafts and other aspects of traditional American-Indian life.
This year, because of the threat of bad weather, the event was moved indoors to the Petal Middle School gymnasium.
The Pow Wow is being put on by the Golden Eagles Intertribal Society and the Center for American-Indian Research and Studies.
It wraps up Sunday afternoon.
