After a very wet week, this weekend is looking awfully rainy. This is dreaded news for many...but on the bright side, we've got sunshine in the forecast for Monday!
Showers and storms are possible across the area this evening, although they will be fairly isolated. Gusty winds and lightning could accompany any stronger storms. Lows tonight in the mid 60s.
We've got a much better chance for widespread thunderstorms on Saturday. There is a chance of severe weather starting around lunchtime and lasting through the evening. Strong winds, locally heavy rainfall, and lightning are all possible. The tornado risk is not high, but it's not zero either. The amount of heating we accumulate in the afternoon will set the stage and changing conditions will be monitored closely. Make sure to watch for further updates and please keep your weather radios on.
Strong storms are also possible Sunday afternoon. More details soon.
