Jimmy Brady, 22, was arrested Friday morning by Petal Police after a warrant was issued Thursday night.

According to investigators the incident occurred at a residence on Hillcrest Loop.

“The boyfriend was keeping the victim at his residence, where the suspects dad also lives, he noticed bruises on the victim and called her parents, her parents then picked her up (Thursday) and took her to the police station,” said Petal Investigator Ken Bullock.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Brady after the victim and parents showed up to the station.

“Besides allegedly hitting her, burning her with a cigarette, and kicking here, Brady allegedly put his hands around her neck to choke her,” said Bullock.

Bullock stated the victim basically had bruises from head to toe and marks around her neck.

Investigators added that the victim's cell phone was also allegedly destroyed by Brady.
