HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The following is a news release from The University of Southern Mississippi

A partnership that began a decade ago will continue on Tuesday, April 21, when the Rotary Club of Hattiesburg holds the 11th Annual “A Night in Italy” fundraiser to benefit The Children's Center for Communication and Development at The University of Southern Mississippi.

The event, noted for delicious spaghetti – served with salad, bread, dessert and tea -- is scheduled from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Southern Oaks House & Gardens on Richburg Road in Hattiesburg, Miss. Guests can dine in or carry-out, while benefitting these two outstanding organizations. Tickets are a mere $10 and can be purchased by calling The Children's Center at 601-266-5222, or can be purchased at the door.

“‘A Night in Italy' is one of the highlights of our year,' said Sarah Case-Price, director of The Children's Center. “Our families, staff and board members all pitch in with the all the hard working Rotary members to help make this annual event a success. We love meeting and mingling with the diners. We are so grateful for Rotary and for the community support.”

A United Way agency, The Children's Center opened its doors at Southern Miss over 40 years ago. The Center provides direct comprehensive early intervention services to infants, toddlers and preschoolers who have complex disabilities. In addition to providing direct services, the Center trains university and college students, offers staff development for practicing professionals, and offers ad hoc support to schools around the state.
