Hattiesburg joins annual alcohol abuse awareness campaign

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The City of Hattiesburg, the DREAM organization and the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence, Inc. have teamed up to bring attention to the problem of alcohol abuse in the Pine Belt.

Tuesday morning, Hattiesburg's Mayor Johnny Dupree officially proclaimed April 2015 as Alcohol Awareness Month in the Hub City.

Dupree was joined by members of the DREAM organization and parents at City Hall as he issued a proclamation.
