LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Laurel police arrested a man Saturday for driving recklessly on 16th Avenue.
According to the department, Jeremy C. Newell, 24, did not stop when he was being pulled over. Police said Newell proceeded onto I-59 and wrecked south of exit 90.
Newell was arrested and charged with felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, DUI, reckless driving, no driver's license and no insurance.
Felony Fleeing carries up to a $5,000 fine and 5 years in prison. Newell is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laurel Municipal Court Monday.
