And so it begins! We're transitioning into a very rainy period that will last straight through the upcoming work week. Make sure you've got a good umbrella because you're certainly going to need it!
Showers are spreading across the Pine Belt this afternoon and we've got thunderstorms in this evening's forecast. Nothing severe is anticipated but don't be surprised if you hear rumbles of thunder overnight as storms continue to roll through the area.
Rain is expected through much of your Monday but models hint that activity will begin to wane by Monday evening. Heavy rain is a pretty sure bet and some spots could see some impressive rainfall totals. This will be the case through at least midweek. Flooding potential is being monitored closely.
Highs through the week will stick right around 80 degrees with lows primarily in the mid 60s.
