If you have any outdoor weekend plans, get outside NOW! We've got a beautiful day on our hands and with a rainy Sunday and work week ahead, you don't want to miss out!
Partly cloudy skies and lows near 60 degrees will make for a quiet, comfortable Pine Belt evening.
Rain returns for Sunday with thunderstorms starting to fire up in the afternoon. A few storms could be on the stronger side bringing lightning, rumbles of thunder, and a few wind gusts, but atmospheric conditions aren't hinting at severe weather. Expect storms to linger into the night, with the slow-movers dumping locally heavy rainfall.
As we head back to work Monday we transition back to a spring-like scenario with a few fronts moving through and good chances for showers and storms. Because of the rainy forecast, heavy rainfall is something we'll have our eye on through the week. Now would be a perfect time to invest in a sturdy umbrella if you haven't already! Highs for the foreseeable future will be around 80.
