HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Wesley Medical Center hosted their Go Red Premier Party at 5:30 p.m. at Southern Oaks.

Over a hundred guests attended the event to learn about women's heart health and sustaining their well-being.

“We got a panel of our cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons along with our family practitioner to help us give useful tips to women related to heart health,” said Wesley medical Chief Operating Officer Barry Moss.

Attendees heard from guest speaker Janie Walters who says keeping your stress level down is beneficial to heart health. Walters said to remember three important things in order to keep your stress level down: Don't dwell on the negative, laugh, and control your thoughts and think positively.
