Admission to Teacher Education Event to Be Held at Carey

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The William Carey University School of Education will host an Admission to Teacher Education Roundup on Monday, April 13 for individuals interested in becoming educators.

The informational event will be held from 5 until 5:45 p.m. in Room 102 of Fairchild Hall on the Hattiesburg campus.

During the program, Dr. Tammie Brown, chair of Carey's Department of Curriculum and Instruction, will present information to students interested in becoming teachers either through the traditional or alternate routes.

    The City of Hattiesburg is urging motorists to use caution Thursday morning in various areas of the city due to utility work. Pearl River Valley Electric began work on switching out a transformer at 6 a.m.  So, traffic lights at US 98 and Hwy 11, US 98 and Lake Forgetful and US 98 and Cross Creek Parkway are expected to experience some downtime .  The Hattiesburg Police Department will be directing traffic in those areas to offer support in the event downtime does occur.&n...More >>
