Man charged with sexual battery in Hattiesburg crime

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A Lamar County man in behind bars and charged with sexual battery in connection to a Hattiesburg crime.

Ryan Ladd, 34, was arrested Friday afternoon by Lamar County Sheriff's Deputies, U.S. Marshall's Task Force, and Hattiesburg Police at a residence on McMahon Road in Lamar County. He was turned over to Hattiesburg Police and booked in to the Forrest County Jail and charged with sexual battery-no consent.

Ladd was wanted in connection with an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday morning April 3rd in the 500 block of North 38th Avenue in Hattiesburg.

According to Facebook, Ladd is listed as the Owner/Pastor of Ryan Ladd Ministries.

A website, www.ryanladdministries.com lists Ladd as “a minister from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He travels to different churches and conferences preaching the Word of God. Ryan has a desire in his heart to reach souls for the Kingdom of God.”

Ladd appeared before a judge Monday for a bond setting where his bond was set at $40,000.

The investigation is still ongoing according to officials.
