Hellfighters Christian Ministries hosting first ever convention

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

Hellfighters Christian Ministries in Laurel will be celebrating their 15 year anniversary this year with its very first convention. They announced their event during a press conference Wednesday.

The evangelical group is inviting the public to join in the festivities May 2 at the Ramada Convention Center in Downtown Laurel.

The convention will kick-off Friday afternoon with guided tours of the Mission at the Cross facility. Visitors will be able to see how the Mission operates and hear testimonies of men who are currently going through the Christian based substance abuse recovery program.

The day of the convention will begin with a Freedom Ride that will leave from the Hellfighters Motorcycle Shop at 8 a.m. Hellfighters from around the nation will lead the bike ride through Southern Mississippi. The cost for the ride is $20 per bike and will include lunch. All proceeds benefit Mission at the Cross.

Two sessions are scheduled for the Hellfighters Convention. The first session begins at 1:30 p.m. and the second session is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Sessions will include music, special presentations and various guest speakers.
