LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Forrest County man plead guilty to a 2013 armed robbery today in Lamar County Circuit Court.

Daniel Patterson, 22, plead guilty to armed robbery and was sentenced to 30 years, with 20 years to serve in prison by Circuit Judge Anthony Mozingo, which was the recommended sentence of the district attorney.

The armed robbery occurred August 27th, 2013 at a clothing store in Hattiesburg.

"This case follows on the heels of the robbery that was sentenced last week and had occurred at one of our local retail establishments. Just as I said about that robbery, the shoppers of Lamar County should have the right to shop without concern for their personal safety," said 15th Circuit District Attorney Hal Kittrell.

"My office will continue to do everything in its power to prosecute any person who violates that right," said Kittrell.
