HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

This is a new release from Hattiesburg Concert Association.

June 6-20, 2015 marks a city-wide celebration: FestivalSouth's® exciting sixth season! FestivalSouth® is Mississippi's only multi-week, multi-genre arts festival, offering both free and ticketed events to local residents and cultural tourists. Presented by the Hattiesburg Concert Association (HCA), this year's festival offers events from across the spectrum of the arts – music, dance, art, and theatre.

FestivalSouth® and Signature Magazine's Best of the Pine Belt competition returns with nominations for the area's best and brightest in a host of categories. This year, selected winners will be featured in a gala, red-carpet evening that will open the festival.

The competition takes place in two phases. Through March 31, nominations are being sought in categories including everything from "Best Day Trip" to "Best Mexican Food" and "Best Shoes" to "Best Volunteer." On April 1, the top vote getters in each category will be put into the finalist competition and another round of online voting will determine the winners.

To vote, simply log on to www.festivalsouth.org and click on the Best of the Pine Belt. There, choose a category and write in nominations for as many categories as you like.

Don't see your category? Don't worry! When finals voting begins April 1, you will have a chance to nominate the "Best thing we missed."

Only one vote per email address will be counted.
