Band of Braves Fun Run 5K Run/Walk Band of Braves Fun Run 5K Run/Walk
LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from South Jones Band Boosters.

South Jones High School's “Band of Braves” is inviting the public to come and run
with the Braves in a Fun Run on Saturday, April 11, at Jones County Junior College's Bobcat
Stadium. The 5K/1K walk and run will begin with registration at 7 a.m. and the 5K run will start
at 8 a.m. The 1K walk will follow the Fun Run.
Pre-Registration is $20 and $25 the day of the race. If participants register by Wednesday,
April 1, they will receive a T-Shirt. Registration forms can be found on the Pine Belt Pacers
web page at: http://www.pinebeltpacers.org/RaceInfo/Races15.html or at the South Jones
High School Band Hall in Ellisville.
Awards will be given to the: Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, Grand
Masters Male and Female and Male and Female Winners by ages in categories 0 to 60 years
and up. The top male and female walkers will receive awards and all children participating in
the Fun Run will receive a ribbon.

    The Petal Fire Department is extending its deadline for the application process of hiring firefighters. Nine new positions are looking to be filled.
