HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Pine Belt restaurants are receiving raving reviews from an online blogger.

Kris Norton, an east coast writer, named Keg and Barrel, T-Bones Records and Café, and La Fleur Café in a top fifteen list of Mississippi restaurants “that will blow the taste buds out of your mouth.”

“Keg and Barrel might sound like just another bar if you were to judge it based on the name alone,” Norton said, “But it's the food that really stands out.”

She recommends the oysters or chicken and waffles with one of the more than 120 beverages the Hattiesburg pub keeps in house.

According to Norton, La Fleur Café in Laurel is “a taste of the big easy.”

“This café is sure to set your taste buds on fire with options like the grilled kabob with parmesan green beans,” Norton said. “With an extensive wine menu to pair your meals with, you'll be happy you found one of Mississippi's best kept secrets.”

Norton described T-Bone Records and Café in Hattiesburg as “one of the coolest places to grab lunch in Mississippi…”

“Put together equal parts vinyl collection, bookstore, coffee shop and awesome sandwiches and you have the place where anyone who is cool wants to be,” she said.

Norton recommends enjoying the Evil Twin sandwich with a classic cup of coffee while reading a book or looking through vinyl records.
