Driver injured, traffic diverted after 18-wheeler, log truck collide in Forrest County

BROOKLYN, MS (WDAM) - A truck driver was sent to the hospital and traffic was diverted for several hours Thursday morning after an 18-wheeler collided with a log truck on Highway 49 in south Forrest County.

It happened about 6:30 a.m. in Brooklyn near the Kangaroo convenience store. Authorities said the collision sent the truck driver, James Moseley, 55, of Brandon, to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the log truck, Paul Lee, 68, of Seminary, was not hurt.  

The southbound lane of the Highway around the scene was closed for about three hours, until the semi-truck was towed away.
