PETAL, MS (WDAM) - Pro Street Customs of Petal has been restoring and building cars for five years. Exposure at car shows across the South has caused word to spread.

What started as a hobby for Eddie Reid turned into a thriving business. He's gained contacts through word of mouth that have resulted in international car sales. Pro Street Customs has sold cars to customers in Australia, the Netherlands, and the Philippines. One of  their creations is even part of an A-list celebrity's collection.

"It feels really good," said Eddie Reid, owner. "It's gratifying to know that we took something that was just a hunk of metal that would've been crushed, take it and build it into the stages we have them in."

Pro Street Customs is sponsoring a car show at the Petal Fall Festival on October 31. Proceeds will go to Shop With a Cop.
