Lamar County students make human sundaes for a good cause

SUMRALL, MS (WDAM) -
Sumrall Elementary students raised over $10,000 for the American Heart Association.
In celebration they made human sundaes out of several Lamar County educational leaders including: Superintendent Tess Smith, Director of Student Services Wayne Folkes, Federal Programs Director Theresa Jenny, Sumrall Elementary Principal Danny Sumrall, Vice Principal Nell Henderson, Coach Adam Bailey, and Assistant Coach Angie Lucas.
All 900 students gathered to watch the fun.
The top 7 students from each grade who raised the most money were given the opportunity to make the ice cream sundae on top of the adults heads.
All involved were great sports, and enjoyed participating in the fun for a great cause.
