A Marion County man is behind bars and facing more than a million dollar bond after allegedly shooting at a deputy's car and horses.
Wesley Little was arrested without incident shortly after the shooting occurred in the Sandy Hook community of Marion County on Thursday morning. Little is charged with attempted murder, two counts of animal cruelty, and felony malicious mischief.
Little's bond was set at $1 million 15 thousand during his Friday initial appearance.
According to Marion County investigators, the deputy was home at the time of the shooting but was not injured in the incident.
The horses were taken to a vet's office for treatment where their injures were described as severe.
The cause of the incident has not been released, and the investigation is still ongoing according to Marion County Sheriff's Department officials.
