HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg man charged with aggravated assault in a 2013 drive-by shooting has been found guilty.

William Mack Jr., 28, was found guilty after a two day trial in Forrest County Circuit Court. Circuit Judge Bob Helfrich sentenced Mack to 20 years with 17 years to serve.

During the January 25th incident a male victim was shot near Hall Avenue and Tipton Street in downtown Hattiesburg.

According to authorities the victim drove himself to the police station where he was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital. His injuries were not life threatening according to authorities.
