Search warrant in Wayne County leads to meth lab

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - This is a press release by the Wayne County Sheriff's Department: 

On February 24 the Wayne County Sheriff's Department ended a lengthy drug investigation by serving a search warrant on a residence located on Jones Walker Loop Road.  Three individuals were arrested and charged with various drug violations. Investigators with CID/Narcotics unit were Shane McIlwain, Kevin Stevens, Jamey Beard, Johnny Smith along with Deputies Brian Everett and Preston Shedd participated in the operation. K-9 Alex was successful in locating illegal substances that were very well hidden. This clandestine lab is believed to have been capable of producing a large quantity of methamphetamine.

Donald Lamar Page is charged with 2 counts sale of methamphetamine within 1500 ft of school, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, and generating hazardous waste.

Richard "Brian" Crabtree is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. He also had a felony bad check warrant.

David Twillie charged with 2 counts of sale of methamphetamine. He also had a felony bad check warrant.
