USM women’s Golf Takes 10th at USA Women’s Invitational

Mobile, Ala. – The Southern Miss women's golf team finished in 10th-place at the USA Women's Invitational. The tournament was hosted by South Alabama and played at the par-72, 6,071-yard Azalea City Golf Course.
The Lady Eagles close with a final round 328 to finish 115-over par.
Sophomore Devon Spriddle tied for 18th-place at 19-over par after posting a 75. It is her fourth top-20 finish of the season and the sixth of her career.
Freshman Belen Abrile tied for 43rd-place at 31-over par after carding a 79.
Junior Jennifer Nguyen finished in 46th-place at 32-over par after posting an 86.
Sophomore Emily Ross finished 33-over par after an 83 to tie for 47th-place and junior MacKenzie Kelly finished in 61st-place at 53-over par after closing with an 88.
Memphis won the team competition at 51-over par, 10 strokes in front of Western Kentucky.
UALR's Stina Resen took home medalist honors at five-over par, four strokes ahead of Memphis' Michaela Fletcher.
The Lady Eagles return to the links in two weeks, when it hosts the Lady Eagle Invitational, Mar. 9-10.
