NASA scientist speaks at 9th Black History Month program at PRCC
Clyde Dease, Jr., retired NASA scientist, speaks at the 9th annual Black History Month program at PRCC Thursday.
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -
A retired NASA scientist who also serves as president of the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation told students at the Forrest County Center of Pearl River Community College Thursday, "If you see something that needs to be done, create it, develop it."
Clyde Dease, Jr. was the featured speaker at the center's 9th annual Black History Month program.
Dease, of Ellisville, is a graduate of Jones County Junior College and Southern Miss and was also a former chair of the science department at Picayune High School.
Dease spoke about the space program in a presentation titled, "To Mars and back, maybe."
He retired from NASA in January after 35 years with that agency.
