Alleged Laurel burglar faces $50,000 bond

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -  The Laurel Police Department has one man in custody in connection to a Saturday burglary. 

Micheal Sullivan, 51, was arrested around midnight Saturday for allegedly burglarizing a commercial building in Laurel. 

Officials said Sullivan was located after a resident called in a suspicious person complaint at the 100 block of South Maple Street. The arresting officer also discovered burglary tools and located the building that Sullivan allegedly entered.

Sullivan faces one count of commercial burglary and one count of possession of burglary tools, according to department officials. 

His initial appearance was Monday in Laurel Municipal court where his bond was set at $50,000. 

This investigation is still ongoing.
