HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The Hattiesburg Zoo is having a special holiday event this Valentine's Day.

The zoo received four new Kunekune Piglets a few weeks ago and they will be unveiled this Saturday during the “Hogs and Kisses” event.

The family friendly event will kick off at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 11:30 a.m.

“Folks will be able to come in and pet the pigs,” said Executive Director of the Hattiesburg Convention Commission Rick Taylor. “You can even hold the pigs and get your picture made with the pigs.”

Outreach manager Jeremy Cumpton said these aren't just ordinary pigs.

“They have these awesome things coming off of their necks,” said Cumpton. “They are called wattles. They are completely adorable and part of what makes a Kune Pig, a Kune Pig.

They can grow to be over 250 pounds and are originally from New Zealand.

Attendees will also get the opportunity to watch other zoo animals go on their Valentine's scavenger hunt for their holiday treats. Tickets for “Hogs and Kisses” can be found on the Hattiesburg Zoo website.
