HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The seventh and final irregular voter from the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral election has been served with an indictment, which wraps up the Forrest County District Attorney's investigation in this case.

Convicted felon Takhara Smith was indicted for voting by an unqualified person. Smith was convicted of uttering forgery in 2013, a felony charge which should have disqualified her vote.

This is the third convicted felon to be indicted for irregular voting in the 2013 mayoral election. The other indicted voters include Hattiesburg's public defender, a Hattiesburg fireman and his wife, who is the Human Resources Director for Hattiesburg Public Schools.
