A Forrest County man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing his mother, and striking his uncle with a board at a Forrest County home.
Alvin Bonner, 53, was arrested by Forrest County Deputies Tuesday evening and charged with aggravated assault on a vulnerable adult and aggravated assault.
According to Forrest County investigator Nick Calico, deputies responded to a call to assist medical personnel in reference to an assault at a Forrest County residence.
“The first incident was where Bonner allegedly struck his uncle, who is the vulnerable adult, with a board,” said Calico.
The victim (uncle) was taken to a local hospital and received medical attention.
“When authorities and medical personnel arrived back at the residence to drop off the first victim, officers saw Bonner holding a knife that he allegedly stabbed his mother with,” said Calico.
Calico stated Bonner was detained and placed in handcuffs and the knife was recovered and placed into evidence.
Bonner's mother was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and treated for her injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing according to Calico.
