HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -
William Carey University and the Lucile Parker gallery are hosting an exhibit featuring work from Artist Tom Brewer.
The exhibit which features both 2-D and 3-D works is very special and unique to the Lucile Parker Gallery.
“In total we've had ten shows this year… this is the first time we've had a show like this here”. Director of the gallery Dr. Ed Ford explained as he guided classes around the exhibit.
What makes this show so unique is evolution of the pieces. Tom Brewer showed the evolution by pointing around the room to explain when each piece of art was created
Tom Brewer is unique in his own right. Tom Brewer is not only an artist, but he's also a teacher as well. When asked what he hoped people would take away from this show Brewer said “It's important for people to understand that everybody has a story, and these pieces are what my story is about”.
Tom Brewer's show opens Thursday February 5th and is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The show is open to the public.
