Super Bowl Sunday will be a wet one with a good chance for showers and a few thunderstorms. Some early morning showers rolled through and rain can be expected on and off throughout the afternoon.
The line of showers and thunderstorms pushing eastward along the cold front should start to push through around dinner time. A few strong to severe storms are possible this evening and tonight with the main threat being strong wind gusts. A lack of instability in the atmosphere is keeping the probability for tornadoes on the low end, although they can't be ruled out completely. Remain weather aware this evening. Overnight lows in the upper 30s.
Cold air will move in behind the front so be sure to bundle up Monday! Despite clearing skies, highs won't likely make it out of the upper 40s. Breezy conditions can be expected as well.
We'll gradually warm as the week progresses. Rain returns to the forecast Wednesday.
