Jones County Crime Stoppers paid out $2,295 to the public this past year.
According to coordinator Wilbur Chamberlin, in 2014 they received 980 calls. Out of that number, 124 were tips that led to six arrests.
Thanks to the anonymous information, Crime Stoppers was able to recover more than $8,000 in property that was stolen and also helped in the seizure of $75,600 worth of drugs.
”We just want to thank the public or the media for all the support we get every year this was another great year for Crime Stoppers,” said Chamberlin. “We were able to make several arrests recovered a bunch of property and a bunch of drugs and that's what it's about.”
