PETAL, MS (WDAM) - The Petal School District will be hosting its annual night for parents on Monday at 5:45 pm at Petal High School.  

Following dinner, Naomi Haines Griffith, author of Red Clay and Vinegar: Looking At Family Through the Eyes of a Southern Child, is going to share common sense advice for families of children of all ages. 

According to Griffith, parents can understand and apply down-to-earth suggestions that will strengthen family relationships and promote emotional health in children.

 A meal from Dickey's Barbecue will be offered for adults and pizza for the children. The event cost is $1. Child care will be provided for children ages 3-12, but requires pre-registering. 

Parents can register online by January 23 to be eligible for a door prize of four season tickets to Petal High School Football.
