HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - As part of their Community Connection Service Organization, 14 employees from Mississippi Power participated in a day of service Monday at the Field House for the Homeless in Hattiesburg.
Throughout the year, Mississippi Power takes time to supply many types community service projects for different charities. The organization is a 501-C-3 and is the primary way for the more than 1,300 employees to impact their customers, communities, and the environment, as well as raise money for local non-profit groups.
"We do fund raisers, service projects, we're out in the community to help folks in need," said volunteer Michael Harvey. "For what our vision is and the vision of the Field House it makes a great partnership."
The organization has seven chapters from Kemper County to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
