PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from Metro Crime Stoppers

Metro Crime Stoppers, in coordination with the Petal Police Department, are paying cash money for tips that will lead Petal Police to an arrest(s) in a commercial burglary at the Highway 42 East Mini Storage building and a felony theft at the construction site of the future Petal McDonald's located on Evelyn Gandy Parkway.

Petal Police say the Mini Storage facility was burglarized in December 2014 and an undisclosed amount of property was stolen. Petal Police also report that sheet metal/tin was stolen from the future McDonald's fast food restaurant construction site.

"If you know about either one of these crimes just give us a call at 601-582-(STOP)7867. says Diane James, Coordinator for Metro Crime Stoppers.

"We'll give you an I.D. number instead of you giving us your name. If your tip leads to an arrest, you'll get some tax free money."

All tips and telephone calls to Metro Crime Stoppers are completely confidential and anonymous. Tipsters/Callers are given an I.D. number, instead of giving their names or identities. No calls are taped, recorded or traced. All rewards are given with approval of and subject to the discretion of the Metro Crime Stoppers Board of Directors.
