Wilkinson County CWC inmate captured

JACKSON, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from MDOC

Wilkinson County Community Work Center inmate Jeffery McWhorter, MDOC was captured shortly after midnight today in the Woodville area. McWhorter was discovered missing at approximately 4:25 p.m. from the Community Work Center Thursday afternoon.

Mississippi Department of Corrections' Community Corrections officers and CID (Corrections Investigation Division) investigators captured McWhorter without incident.

McWhorter is serving a two-year sentence for conviction of burglary from Marion County.

He will be transported to Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Rankin County and now faces an additional five-year sentence if convicted of escape.
