HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Main Street United Methodist Church in downtown Hattiesburg held a traditional Christmas luncheon for folks who had no other place to go on Christmas.
This was the thirteenth time the church hold it's holiday dinner. It was a place for folks to come who needed a hot meal and a place for fellowship.
Church members and other members of the community volunteered their time to help make this all possible.
Winter clothing and canned goods were given out to those who needed an extra hand this season. "Well, I thank God for waking me up this morning and started me on my way and blessed me to see another Christmas. It's been hard but I'm here. Thank you all and God bless," said attendee Voncil Carrol.
Last year the church fed over 300 people.
