The American Red Cross will continue relief operations on Christmas Day in Southeast Mississippi for people affected by the tornadoes that tore through Marion and Jones counties in Southeast Mississippi Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency shelter: The emergency shelter located at the Mt. Carmel Church of God in Foxworth, MS is closing today, Dec. 25 at 4 p.m. People who need emergency disaster relief assistance should call the Red Cross office in Hattiesburg at 601-582-8151.
Mobile feeding: Mobile feeding from the Red Cross continues today in Marion and Jones counties. Red Cross emergency response vehicles stocked with food and emergency supplies will be driving through the affected areas today to ensure people have a meal, water, blankets and comfort supplies.
Emergency Aid Stations: The Red Cross is working to establish the location of Emergency Aid Stations in Marion County. For those who may have mental health or emotional needs resulting from the disaster, please call the Red Cross office in Hattiesburg at 601-582-8151 to be put in touch with a Red Cross caseworker.
