1 in custody, 1 sought after Marion County drug bust

MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Marion County law enforcement are looking for a man after he fled the scene during a Friday afternoon search warrant.

ChiRichard Alvin Pace, 23, is sought by the Marion County Sheriff's Department in connection to a high risk search warrant that led authorities to thousands of dollars in cash, weapons and various drugs on Rural Center Lane in the Hub Community south of Columbia.

Authorities arrested Courtney Mason, 22, in connection to the incident. 

During the warrant, officers searched the residence and recovered crack, marijuana, oxycodone, morphine, 13 guns, weighing scales, baggies used for distribution and $10,200 in cash. 

According to investigators, both suspects face four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.

Members of both the Marion County Narcotics Task Force and Sheriff's Department assisted in the high-risk search warrant.
