Two suspects arrested in connection to Waynesboro shooting

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Two people have been arrested in Wayne County in connection to a weekend shooting that left one person dead and four others injured.

Kaeshawn Demonte Turner, 23, was arrested and charged with murder. Another suspect has also been arrested in connection to the shooting outside of a nightclub on Central Avenue, but police are not releasing the individual's name at this time.

According to officials, 23-year-old Shaurice Cunningham died from gunshot wounds in the early morning hours Sunday.

    Following a school-record 55 wins and run that ended in an 8-7 loss in the NJCAA national championship, Jones County Junior College softball is eager to open the 2018 season on February 3. Coming that close to the school’s first national title serves as motivation enough for the Lady Bobcats. Regardless, expectations are always high for coach Chris Robinson’s teams – JCJC is a combined 105-12 the last two seasons.
