South beats North 48-14 in 66th Bernard Blackwell Classic
The South all-stars beat the North all-stars 48-14 in the 66th annual Bernard Blackwell Classic.
The 34-point margin of victory was the largest margin of victory in series history.
The South never trailed in the game as a pair of short field goals by Biloxi's Grayson Pontius in the first quarter put his team up 6-0.
Brandon quarterback Gardner Minshew threw a pair of touchdown pass in the second quarter, as the South extended its lead. He connected with Bassfield's T'Rodrick Daniels on a 39-yarder and Southeast Lauderdale's Jamarion Lewis on a 59-yard strike to make it 19-7 at halftime.
