LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Kordell Nixon, 33, was arrested at his home on Woodlawn Drive on Monday as the result of a search warrant. Laurel Police Department's Narcotics Task Force raided the home and recovered approximately one ounce of crystal methamphetamine and one ounce of power and crack cocaine.

Nixon is being charged with possession crystal meth with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and various misdemeanor charges. 

He had a warrant for probation violation through the Mississippi Department of Corrections as well as being on probation for a previous conviction in 2009 for the sale of cocaine.

His bond will be set on Wednesday in the Laurel Municipal Court.
