SMITH COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - The National Weather Service released their preliminary findings after surveying Smith County on Tuesday.
A severe thunderstorm passed through Smith county Monday night around 5:00 p.m.
The report confirmed an EF-0 tornado was on the ground for a mile and a half, with a width of 50 yards. The storm was around 75 miles per hour.
The tornado caused some large limbs to snap, roof damage, and some damage to a chicken house.
