Evelyn Gandy accident seriously injures two

PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

An accident occurred around 9:51 p.m. Tuesday night on the Evelyn Gandy Parkway in Petal. 

According to authorities, the Gran Prix that was being driven by 22-year old Amber Hobson left the parkway, and struck a power pole.

Hobson and 21-year old David Breazeale, a passenger that was in the car, were both taken to Forrest General Hospital with serious injuries. 

Hobson was later taken to University Medical Center in Jackson. 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
