The Laurel Kiwanis Club held their annual Pancake Day at the Laurel First Baptist Church and at the YWCO of Laurel Saturday.

The event is held each year in conjunction with the Sertoma Christmas Parade on the first Saturday of December. For $6 folks could enjoy hot buttery pancakes, sausage, and hot coffee prepared by the Kiwanis and Key club members.

Proceeds from the event help fund annual scholarships to local students to assist in furthering their education.

There were an estimated 6000 people who stopped by to enjoy the breakfast.
