Dec. 5 forecast - WDAM-TV 7-News, Weather, Sports-Hattiesburg, MS

Dec. 5 forecast

A few showers are possible across the Pine Belt this evening but the best chance for rain comes early Saturday morning as a cold front moves into the region. Most spots will likely stay dry this evening under cloudy skies with mild lows near 60 degrees.

Most shower activity on Saturday morning will cease by lunchtime with the front's passage. Temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 70s in the afternoon, but then cooler air will move in behind the front. Saturday night will be the first "seasonable" one in quite awhile with lows in the mid 40s.

Sunday will be much cooler with highs only reaching the mid 60s. Cooler temperatures will stick around through the work week with highs in the low 60s and morning lows in the low 40s. Sunny skies are in the forecast as well as high pressure builds across the region.
