Defending 6A champion Oak Grove did walk-through's today in preparation for their match-up with top-ranked South Panola.
The Warriors beat Brandon last week 36-35 on the road to advance to Starkville, and give themselves a chance to bring another golden football back to their school.
With the motivation to repeat, Oak Grove feels that their newly adopted two-quarterback system with seniors Cam Myers and J.C. Keys, gives them an edge.
"I think it's definitely a good duo," said Keys. "It gives the opponent's defense, to trick them around, 'Oh, what quarterback is coming in?'"
Head coach Nevil Barr, sees the benefits of the system in regards to his player's health.
"I think that combination has done real well in the playoff for us, since they're both starting on defense," said Barr. "You don't want your quarterback going both ways every play."
"We've got confidence in both of them on the defensive side as well as the offensive side."
Oak Grove and South Panola kick off from Davis Wade Stadium at 7:30 p.m., Friday.
