Every kids wish is to be a superhero. Saturday a Pine Belt child's wish came true.
Luca, 5, uses his super hero powers to fight off life treating illnesses.
“I'm Spider-Man,” Luca said.
A delivery from Make-A-Wish helped Lucas transform into Spiderman.
Luca is battling two different types of cancer, and he is now in remission.
“[What] he had was called hepatoblastoma, it's a type of liver cancer, and the second type was a rare form of renal carcinoma,” said Nick Ciraldo, Luca's parent.
Luca continues to fight back with a friendly neighborhood feel just like Spiderman.
Make-A-Wish paired with the University of Southern Mississippi for Luca's wish to ride in a parade.
“He has the opportunity to be in the Eagle walk, and toss come beads as Spiderman,” said Rachel Ciraldo, Luca's mother.
Despite all the tiny superhero has been through, he still keeps a smile on his face.
“Many rounds of chemotherapy, 10 surgeries, and a whole lot more he has bounced back from everything that has been put in front of him. He is very, very strong and happy,” said Luca's father.
When the day was over Spiderman and his family joined the USM captains for the coin toss, and then enjoyed the game.
