Walk a Pooch to Save a Pooch re-scheduled for Sunday

The Walk a Pooch to save a Pooch event that was postponed last Sunday because of inclement weather has been re-scheduled for this Sunday.

The walk is being put on by Forrest County Agricultural High School senior Jasmine Roberts. She is raising money to help the Southern Pines Animal Shelter as part of her senior project. The walk starts at noon at the USM Gateway to the Long Leaf Trace. Cost to participate is $10 and that will allow folks to participate in the walk with their dog and get them a raffle ticket to win a basket full of treats for their dog.

All the proceeds from the walk go to the shelter.
