HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg City Council and Hattiesburg Police Department will host a town hall meeting Tuesday, December 2 at 6 p.m. to address safety concerns around the city.
The public is encouraged to attend to this meeting, which will be held at the train depot in downtown Hattiesburg.
"Public safety is major for your community," said council president Kim Bradley. "We need to get a grip on it as quickly as we can, and I think the first... and easiest thing to do is to have this meeting."
HPD will have a representative of their command staff at the meeting, not only to hear citizens' concerns but also to inform the community of how HPD is addressing crime and safety.
For more information on the town hall, call the Hattiesburg City Council at 601-545-4551.
